Atlantic City Indoor Race Summary: After struggling during practice & qualifying, the Gibb 31 team was able to make some adjustments & come alive in the main. Starting 11th on the grid Jim was able to come home with a fine 2nd place finish, a good start to the 2010 racing season.
In 2010 Jim will drive his own Crate1 Modified at New Egypt Speedway as well as running select Slingshot races for Gibb Racing.
2009 Summary
Jim entered 24 races in 3 different divisions for 5 different car owners in 2009.
Eleven (11) races were entered while driving the Smith Fabrications owned #72. Jim was able to capture 3 Amain victories while running the #72 car.
Seven (7) races were entered behind the wheel of the Bob Gibb Racing #31, while the final result didn't always match the competitiveness of the car, Jim was able to score 4 top 5 finishes in those 7 races. The Gibb/Housworth combination will again team together for the full 2010 season, with some high goals being set!
Four (4) races were entered at the Kutztown Fairgrounds Speedway driving the #76 of Moose Eisenhardt. The weather really hurt this teams efforts, only claiming 2 top 10 finishes in the 4 events entered.
One (1) race was entered in the BBR racing #2b. That race being the season Lid Lifter 40 at the Borgers Speedway. After some exciting racing and going to the rear twice Jim finished in the 6th position.
One (1) race was also entered while driving the Housworth Racing Crate 1 Sportsman car. That race was at New Egypt Speedway. Jim ran well in his first time in the "big car" bringing home a fine 3rd place finish.
